The sad, sad truth.
I don’t know why WB is completely incapable of bringing their amazing array of characters to life, why the keep cranking out CW shows instead of movies. I don’t understand why they keep going to Christopher Nolan for these movies when he clearly has no respect or fundamental understanding of what makes Batman or Superman cool characters. “Man of Steel” was maybe a step in the right direction, but it’s gone down in my estimation as time has passed, and all three Dark Knight movies I just find to be interminable bores whenever Heath Ledger isn’t on the screen.
There has to be another Joss Whedon out there for DC movies. There has to be someone out there with a grander imagination and vision for these characters than Christopher Nolan does. Something is deeply wrong when a studio thinks it’s impossible to do a movie version of one of their most iconic characters.
